About Sally Andersen
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Basingstoke. I provide short term and long term therapy with individual adults aged 18+. My approach to counselling is integrative, which means that I am not bound to work with only one therapeutic approach. I can tailor my support to suit your specific requirements. We are all individual and unique and my approach in therapy is designed with you in mind.
Thinking About Therapy or Counselling?
Perhaps to manage distress or simply learn more about yourself?
We live in a fast paced challenging world where there will be times when we all experience stress, loss and pain. For some this can be overwhelming and I can help support and encourage you to identify and clarify the issues and emotions that you are experiencing. Therapy can identify life events and unhelpful thinking patterns and enable you to build skills to cope better. Deciding to come for counselling is the first step on a journey to discovering and understanding more about yourself, your past and present relationships and to resolve difficulties in your life.
I provide a confidential, professional counselling and therapy service. I have regular supervision and continue my professional development with training, workshops and courses. I have significant experience including working within the mental health services and with drug and alcohol addiction and women’s issues. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) & National Counselling Society (NCS) which means I abide by their code of ethics.
I have worked in mental health services for over a decade in a variety of roles. More recently i have volunteered in a women’s specialist service working with vulnerable women who have suffered addictions, abuse, self harm and more.
